About Us
Philosophy:
We understand that children learn best by exposing them to a variety of educational opportunities that encourage active and creative learners. We strive to provide an environment that respects their natural inclinations to explore, inquire and investigate through play-based learning. Our goal is to form compassionate learners and cultivate the skills that are at the foundation of a life of happiness and success: cooperative and individual problem-solving, analytical thinking, emotional intelligence and empathy, cultural competence – as well as early literacy and math skills.
Environment:
Being a licensed, in-home preschool and microschool, allows us to create a safe and comfortable learning environment that feels like home. Similar to a one-room schoolhouse style of learning, the children can create a strong sense of community among one another while learning at their own pace. Open-ended learning materials are provided at the children's level allowing them independence and autonomy over their learning. Children are encouraged to explore, create, and pursue what interests them, and what they are passionate about, and that is where true learning happens.
Health is a top priority of ours, so we use non toxic cleaning solutions, soaps, sprays, and air purifiers to keep germs at bay, and won't irritate the children's sensitive endocrine systems.
Communication:
Regular communication with parents is essential for maximizing child learning outcomes and keeping parents engaged in their child's learning process. We use the Bloomz App to update you throughout the day on your child's well-being. Teachers are always available through phone, email, or text. Assessments are completed at the beginning of the year, along with a formal assessment at the end of the year so that we can individualize your child's learning strategies.
Payments:
Payments can be made through cash, check, Zelle, Cash app, CCS or Google Pay. Invoices and end-of-year statements are sent straight to your email for easy access at tax time.
Heather Faro
I am an early childhood educator with over 15 years of experience working with children. I obtained my A.A degree in early childhood education with an emphasis on special education from the College of Southern Idaho in 2015. In addition, I have taken many continuing education courses on safety practices, childhood nutrition, positive discipline strategies and obtained my directors certificate in 2021. I incorporate whole brain child, Montessori, and Emilia Reggio philosophies to promote autonomy and emotional intelligence in the children I care for. I have two children of my own who I currently homeschool and would love to create a homeschool community for them and other like minded families of Seguin.
